/ The project

More room,
within the roof.

This active renovation transforms an unfinished attic into a useful upper-level suite. The plan brings together a compact bathroom, a flexible office or bedroom, a reading nook, and a clearer arrival at the top of the stair.

The design works with the attic’s sloped roof planes instead of concealing them. Daylight, warm wood, soft stone, and brass-toned fixtures give the bathroom a calm identity, while built-in storage turns low knee-wall areas into practical, character-rich space.

As the project advances through schematic design and design development, DBA is coordinating the stair, guardrails, headroom, bathroom clearances, skylight constraints, finish selections, and millwork scope so the design can move toward pricing with its architectural intent intact.
