Lantern House was designed to replace a residence lost to fire. The project called for a new home that could acknowledge the familiarity of a gabled house while establishing a distinctly contemporary identity.

The design uses a clear silhouette, disciplined openings and a warm interior presence to make the house feel both grounded and luminous. Its architectural expression is calm rather than ornamental, allowing proportion, material and light to carry the character.

The result demonstrates DBA’s approach to custom residential work: start with the human meaning of the commission, find the essential architectural idea and develop it with enough clarity to endure through construction.
