Small footprint.
Complete responsibility.
Annafran Garden House is a compact 440-square-foot detached accessory dwelling unit developed through one design-build team. Its scale makes every decision consequential: space, structure, systems, permitting, construction access and material use must work together.
DBA and DBB carried the project through architecture, permitting and preconstruction, aligning trade coordination, constructability, logistics and early procurement before construction begins.
The project shows why architect-led delivery matters even at a modest size. When the room for error is small, continuity between design and building becomes more valuable, not less.
